Come Picking!

We’ve just completed harvesting the 2019 crop but would welcome volunteers next autumn (2020). We pick by variety throughout September and October and would love anyone who has an interest in vineyards, wine, or just getting out into the fresh air, to join us. Please bear in mind that we are on uneven terrain but can offer wonderful views of the Teign Valley, a pickers lunch and a strong brew or glass of wine. If you are interested in taking part, please email and we'll add you to the mail updates.

Winter Pruning ‘20

From January until March each year, we move across the vineyard, pruning unwanted wood and getting the vines in good order before they spring back to life. It’s a pretty strategic job, but we would always welcome help with pulling out the pruned wood. If you would like to help, please email

Summer ‘20 Tucking In & Leaf Stripping

Each summer we walk the lanes of the vineyard tucking new growth into the trellis and chopping the tops off the vines. This avoids overworking the vine and helps us to get the tractor up and down rows without damaging the tender growth. Later in the summer, we go back along each row, pulling leaves off to expose the ripening bunches to the sun. Both jobs are pretty relaxing! If you’d like to volunteer, please email
